The Chorus crankset is this year available in the carbon-fiber version by applying the same constructional technology as for the new Record crankset. This Multidirectional carbon fiber is a new composite materials technology recently introduced in the aerospace industry. This new technology distributes the carbon fiber in all directions to produce mechanical resistance in any direction. Layers of Unidirectional Carbon Fiber are then judiciously positioned to further enhance the already outstanding mechanical performance of the Chorus crankset. Weighing in at only 550 grams (weighted on calibrated scale), the Chorus Carbon has greater resistance to static load, greater resistance to fatigue, and greater resistance to torsion.
