The rear derailleur with a short cage is used for the double crankset with a sprocket set up to 13-26. The rear derailleur with a medium cage is used for a double crankset with a 13-29 sprocket set or a triple crankset with a 13-26 sprocketset. The rear derailleur with a long cage is recommended for a triple crankset with a 13-29 sprocket set.
