That’s why Reynolds – for 2011 – has completely re-thought and re-engineered our mountain wheelsets from the ground, up. The all-new XC starts with a totally new unidirectional carbon layup with proprietary and improved resin systems. It yields a svelte 20 mm profile that weighs in at an astonishing 330g, yet is tough enough to withstand the kind of notorious punishment only a cross-country can dish out. Then we eliminated the tube to slash weight and add convenience and reliability. The result is a cross-country wheel that climbs like a dream, yet is stiffer, lighter and more responsive than anything in its category.
