These Steel Stud Spikes have carbide tips and offer surprisingly good grip even on mirror-smooth ice surfaces, but can be lost during hard braking from solid ground.Missing spikes can be quickly replaced. There are 50 studs in the kit. Separate kits of 50 studs are available for purchase with the tool, although a set of needle nose pliers works equally well as an installation tool.
